Gosh, I hate dieting. Anyone else??

Yea, I can see you all nodding your heads in agreement… I mean, for the most part, I’m a pretty healthy gal. I’m not big on fast food, I’m not into chips and junk. I even crave healthy stuff like fruits, veggies, and smoothies. But then there’s chocolate. Ohhhh chocolate.

Seriously, it’s like my kryptonite. The love I have for chocolate is ridiculous. So, where does chocolate fit into my diet plan? Well, it doesn’t. At least not in the amounts that I tend to consume it in (which are embarrassing and shameful).

So when I need to get my fix (which is pretty much always) I look for alternatives. Aside from an occasional indulgence in a piece of dark chocolate- which is heart-healthy (that’s also how I justify its role in my diet!), there are many ways to use chocolate without eating it!

I know, I know, that doesn’t sound nearly as amazing as eating a big chunk of it, but I’d also like my jeans to fit, so I have to make some adjustments.

If you think about it, the scent of chocolate can be just as enjoyable as the taste. Hot chocolate- smells wonderful. Chocolate cake- smells delicious. Chocolate fudge- do I even need to describe it to you? So- using it topically can sometimes satisfy your sweet tooth without even sneaking a bite! It’s a great way to trick your brain into thinking that it got what it was demanding- without compromising your waistline.

This recipe combines chocolate, grapeseed oil, honey, and sugar for a downright mouthwatering facial scrub that you’ll be tempted to lick off of your fingertips (but please resist, it’s for your face!)

Together, these ingredients increase circulation and soften and soothe dry skin. It’s a perfect way to indulge your senses while improving your complexion. A win-win combination!! So, all you chocoholics out there, let’s get busy!
